The views are fantastic! The city, the castle, the sea - you see it all from one location. The hike there is not as rough as it looks from below and the landscape is beautiful.

About 45 minutes hike to the top of the hill....30 minutes for those who are fast. Be sure to bring enough water and a wind jacket. A must visit for those looking for a panoramic view of Edinburgh.

It's really beautiful panorama from here. Though if you are lazy don't climb on Arthur's Seat itself, the closest hill to the city also provide terrific view, while saving you time and power )

Tough climb. You'll be wishing you had super sized lungs. Bring water, maybe a small picnic, def a snack. Persevere because it's so worth it when you get to the top.

Worth the hike (medium difficulty, for non-professional hikers). Wear appropriate footwear and clothing, it's not a walk in the park, if you know what I mean...
